**Microsoft** is currently testing persistent AI agents for **Microsoft 365 Copilot**. These agents, inspired by the open-source **OpenClaw** platform, operate in an "always-on" capacity. Unlike standard reactive bots, these agents monitor Outlook and calendars to proactively suggest tasks and manage schedules without direct user prompting.
