Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Card credit card alongside an AI-powered Health Assistant Beta, marking its entry into financial services while expanding its wellness platform.

The Samsung Galaxy Card, issued in partnership with Barclays and Visa, is Samsung's first credit card. It offers tiered cash back rewards: 5 percent on direct Samsung purchases, 3 percent on Samsung Wallet transactions, 2 percent on streaming services, and 1 percent on all other spending. New cardholders who spend $2,000 within the first 90 days receive a $200 sign-up bonus. The card carries no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees. It is available as a premium metal card as well as a virtual card stored inside Samsung Wallet. Security is handled by Samsung Knox. On the health side, Samsung introduced Health Assistant Beta, an AI-powered personal health assistant integrated into Samsung Health. Recommendations are personalized and have been validated by medical professionals. The beta launched on July 21, 2026, for eligible US users. It requires Android 11 or later, Samsung Health version 6.27 or later, and a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring. The system uses a Personal Data Engine that considers calendar information and user habits to deliver context-aware guidance.
